In my holidays I went with some friends for one week to Rarotonga. For those who (like me^^) don't know where this is, Rarotonga is the most populous one in a group of islands known as the Cook Islands in the north east of New Zealand.
We departed from Auckland airport and after 4 hours flight our plane arrived in Rarotonga. At the airport we got a very friendly reception by employees of our Hotel. Our rooms were fantastic; six of us shared a big villa, with own kitchen and livingroom inclusive.
This island is a real paradise for diving and snorkling and the beaches are absolutely beautiful. (If you happen to go to Rarotonga you MUST see the Muri beach!!!) We made cycle tours around the island and went to a dance show. To make it short we had a really awesome time!!!
If you have time I can only recommend to go to Rarotonga. Though you might want to take your umbrella with you, since it rains very often on this island.
Our hotel was the Edgewater Resort and Spa http://www.edgewater.co.ck/Edgewater_Resort/Home_IDL=10_IDT=167_ID=850_.html
